A weekend in Sayulita! Things to hit!
Drool worthy tacos Itacate - Get the Mahi taco and then just slowly work your way down the menu. We went back 3 or 4 times!
Late night street tacos - Tacos El Ivan
Goergous Beach - Beautiful, leisurely hike along the north beach and through the tip of the jungle to Playa Malpasa
Once we were there, we only saw two other humans on this beach for miles! Worth every minute! Be careful, the waves were large enough to send a message and yourself away in a bottle.
Bonus - On your way, grab a roadie at Maggies a little margarita hut on the North beach.
Playa los muertos - Pack a bag with some cervezas and watch the locals shamelessly eat donuts and fried bananas and boogie board. Make sure to stroll in and ogle all of the decorative grave beds. It’s a 15-minute walk south along the coast road, through the Villa Amor resort and the cemetery. Breezy beach views with beautiful hibiscus everywhere!
Take surf lessons at Costeno Surf School Friendly surf locals that had the patience to get me standing up on 6-8 waves!
Shopping! Too many artisan, craft and swim suit shops with out an online presence to mention. Just get down there and bop around! Okay, I'll name one! CHAMULA - delicately-made knit and woven goods from the Michoacán region!
Ideal amount of time to spend there? 3 days - a year : )
